The 2010 return of the Air Jordan Retro 2 OG in their original colorway has been one of the most sought after release in the last twenty years. Since their release in 1987 Micheal Jordan basketball fans and sneaker head alike have been waiting in anticipation of the re-release. The shoe initially gained a tremendous amount of publicity due to its vibrant black and red color that violated the league’s uniform rules at the time. When Michael was fined five thousand dollars every time he wore the shoes during a game it was apparent that all the publicity was well worth it. In 2010 almost three and a half decades later the Air Jordan Retro 2 still going down in sneaker history. The official release date has been a mystery for some time but now it is here.
