Big Sean named Rookie Of The Year nabs The Source Magazine Cover . . . Big Sean makes his first major print cover as the issue’s Rookie Of The Year, written by Kazeem Famuyide.
Big Sean was named “Rookie of the Year” by The Source, the rap magazine with the tagline of “hip-hop’s bible.”
Sean, along with Rick Ross, earned his own special-edition cover. The December/January issue hit newsstands yesterday.
Sean’s next appearance will be on the long-awaited G.O.O.D. Music compilation album, which will also feature new tracks by the likes of Kid Cudi, Common, and (of course) Kanye West.
Dec. 28, MTV News: “We’re all working on a new project; it’s almost done. We’re going to London to finish it up and do the last part of it and working on my album at the same time with ‘Ye and everybody.”
But the Detroit rapper has more news of his own. Before he releases his follow-up album to “Finally Famous” in summer 2012, Sean says he plans to record a mixtape for his fans.“I’m sticking to that,” he said. “I got the new F.F.O.E. mixtape, Finally Famous Over Everything, coming, new G.O.O.D. Music album, the next Finally Famous album, so we going hard.”
Despite the fact that Big Sean became finally famous in 2011, he still hasn’t forgotten his roots. He recently Tweeted this message to radio station HOT 107.5 FM.
