Diggy Simmons Interview with (his uncle Russel Simmons Digital Content Company) Global Grind

GlobalGrind recently sat down with Diggy Simmons and got the exclusive scoop backstage at BET’s 106 & Park ‘Closer To My Dreams’ Tour.

At only 16 years old, Diggy has just been blowing up in the public eye pretty much ever since the success of the family’s hit reality TV show MTV’s Run’s House.

Now with the success of his rap career, it is official that Diggy is on the fast track to fame. Diggy has been killing the game with the success of his hit single “Copy, Paste.”

Landing on the number one spot on BET’s 106 & Park for two days in a row, Diggy’s career is heading in the right direction.

Diggy has the swag of a rapper twice his age, the determination of a hustler, and the charisma of a seasoned rap veteran. All of which are the formula to Diggy’s break out success.

Forget that he’s the son of rap legend Rev Run or the nephew of the “Godfather Of Hip-Hop,” Russell Simmons, Diggy has pure talent that is ingrained in his DNA.

NEW VIDEO: Diggy Simmons “Copy, Paste”

With a good head on his shoulders, and a lot of ambition, Diggy Simmons is going to take the hip-hop game by storm.

The more we chit-chatted with Diggy, he had a lot to say about inspirational rap artists in the bus, being a young rapper and just being a young person in the public eye.

For the love of music, Diggy sat down to tell us that his career now wasn’t always looked at as an actual job, but more so like an escape he used when he needed to express himself in a more verbal way.

“Being that I have a lot of things on my chest, that I felt like I had to express in late ’08, early ’09, so it wasn’t like I just felt like, oh, I could rap. I wasn’t picking it as an obligation or like a career choice, I just really loved it, so I went ahead and did it.”
