Asher Roth has been at his best over the past year or so when working with rapper-producer Nottz. That especially goes for their collaborative project, the free Rawth EP, that dropped last December. Since then, Nottz has presumably been working with Roth on the college-loving MC’s sophomore record, The Spaghetti Tree. And while we’re not sure if their new collaboration, “Summertime,” will end up on that project, it definitely needs to land somewhere. The track is too full of laid-back fun to remain an after-thought, though I’m sure most of you will grab this one to enjoy over the next few months. Just a note: Roth suggested listening to this and Naughty By Nature’s “Feel Me Flow,” aka one of the best rap summer joints ever, back to back.
