Well this is easily the first “clean” track I’ve listened to in about a year, but luckily it doesn’t affect Curren$y’s style as much as other rappers, and “She Don’t Want A Man” gives us a pretty clear glimpse in to the current stages of the N.O.-born rapper’s incredibly fast progression. After releasing the near-full length mixtape Covert Coup just a few weeks ago though, Curren$y is already looking ahead to the release of his official album on WMG titled Weekend at Burnies, out June 28th. There’s a tracklist available over at 2dopeboyz, but I’m honestly curious to see who produced most of the new album, as I’m having difficulty finding any credits at the moment. The soulful production from Monstabeatz on “She Don’t Want A Man” in particular is pretty impressive and goes along nicely with Curren$y’s smooth delivery.
