“…Shoutout to Redman for no reason at all…” (sorry, I just found this amusing after all the Wu-Tang drops. You’ll see).
Game hasn’t made it difficult for me to become more apathetic about picking up The R.E.D. Album, you know, with this flowerbed-gangsta “Pot of Gold” business, but now that’s he’s somehow found that ear of his for instrumentals, we’ve got what might be his best track in months, that being “Infrared.”
I’d say give all props to Cool and Dre who were behind the production, but Game deserves plenty, as he tackles the horn-heavy slammer instrumentals with the right flow to make gold. When we talk about giving West Coast gangsta some diversity, this is what’s being looked for.
I won’t lie, this one’s stuck on repeat right now, because I needed a track like this today. We all definitely want to see some classic Game on The R.E.D. Album, but a few more like “Infrared” would be gladly welcome, at least by me.
