Following the release of HiiiPoWeR a few months back, Kendrick Lamar sets loose another new track entitled ‘Hol’ Up’, literally a week before the release of his highly anticipated album – ‘Section 80’.
With cheeky but extremely impressive word play, Lamar shows a completely different character on this track, which implies he will be delivering a versatile sounding album. Everything from his flow, to his tongue and cheek approach differs from the seriousness of the first single, enabling the 24year old rapper to showcase different rapping styles and the ability to become a worldwide name.
Kendrick Lamar is definitely one to watch over the next few years and I reckon the release of ‘Section 80’ on July 2, 2011 could be a turning point in his career.
