Lil Wayne How To Love newest Carter IV Leak . . . This new Joint is Off Weezy’s Carter IV . . . Wayne is definitely stepping out of his box on this joint . . . . even more than he did on the rebirth album . . . what Wayne doesn’t understand / doesn’t care about is the fact that HIS fans EXPECT a certain thing when the press play on a Lil Wayne song and this definitely isn’t it. plenty will hate . . . even more will speculate but at the end of the day weezy is doing the music that makes him happy. He has more than enough money and hype behind him not to have to worry about making a commercial cookie cut song with every track on the album. The Carter IV is going to sell units regardless . . . . that being said, I hope this is like an outro or something because if the entire album is sounding like this Ima feel some type of way. I’ll take some more Rebirth style Rock / Hip-hop over this lovey-dovey stuff any-day of the week.

“6 Foot 7 Foot” was meant to show Wayne hadn’t lost a step with his rapid fire delivery as well as put Cory Gunz on centerstage. “John” was the on-wax union of arguably the two current biggest names below the Mason-Dixon line, let alone Hip Hop. The Detail-produced “How To Love”? Now this is something totally different.

Coming straight from left field, Weezy’s third single uses this guitar inspired instrumental to lament on the story of women whose hearts have grown cold from several false starts. All while harmonizing, too. It’s clear Wayne wants to impact every radio station in the country, urban and pop, with this one. Time will tell if it replicates the success of “Lollipop,” but it’s obvious that he’s going to give it another shot at least.
